| The design of this page was conceived of as a combination of form and function: an interface for site navigation blended with a thematic artistic statement, hopefully of some beauty. Philosophy, comparative religion and mysticism have been topics of interest to me since boyhood in the Catholic school system. The theme was also attractive because of the great well of visual symbolism which it offers. However, the theme itself is incidental. For instance, if your topic of discussion were American History, you might have images of relevant individuals, locations, etc. which would likewise link to informative pages. As you may notice, the image design was inspired by a test pattern screen from the very early days of television. |
